2003年新建烏石漁港完工啟用，是一座兼具漁業與休憩的觀光漁港。烏石港是漢人開發蘭陽平原的起點，與水運時代進出宜蘭的主要港口，基於此重要歷史意義，蘭陽博物館坐落於烏石港舊址區域內，於2010年10月16日正式開館營運，被賦予做為認識宜蘭的窗口的使命。

The newly constructed Wushi Fishing Harbor was completed and opened in 2003 as a tourism fishing harbor that combines both fishing and recreational functions. Wushi Harbor was the starting point for Han people’s development of the Lanyang Plain and served as the primary port for entering and exiting Yilan during the era of water transport. Given this profound historical significance, the Lanyang Museum was situated within the Old Wushi Harbor Site. Officially opening on October 16, 2010, the museum is entrusted with the mission of serving as a ‘window for understanding Yilan.”
